Plano Centre Receives Recognition As A Green Meetings Site By ConventionSouth

Meeting sites selected to receive this certification are given a Green Meetings Approved by ConventionSouth seal that distinguishes them as a green meetings provider. Meeting planners can feel confident that Green Meetings Approved by ConventionSouth cities, hotels and facilities conserve energy and fuel, reduce product use, reuse products, recycle products and use local products when available. And, Green Meetings Approved by ConventionSouth cities, hotels and facilities can assist groups to reduce their carbon footprint on the destination while in town for the meeting.
“Being a green meetings provider doesn’t have to be complicated,” Bundock said. “Offering recycle bins for attendees, turning off power in meeting rooms when they’re not in use and providing beverages in pitchers rather than in cans or bottles are just some of the simple ways that meeting sites can be Green Meetings Approved by ConventionSouth.
