Bring your friends and join OontzKids DJ Academy in Plano for the coolest camp of the summer! Here we'll learn about what a DJ does, how and why they do it, and get hands on experience with real DJ equipment, ending with a showcase performance by each student on the last day.

Topics covered will include different genres of music and how DJs came about, the role of a DJ in the world of Spotify and Apple Music, basic music concepts such as beats, bars and tempos, beat matching, setting cues, song transitions, and even adding color to mixes with cool effects.

Each student will have their own workstation which includes a Pioneer DJ Controller, speaker, headphones, laptop computer loaded with DJ-friendly music and Pioneer Rekordbox software.
